Roberto Rolfo
Team Hannspree Honda Althea

Roberto Rolfo born in Torino on March 23rd, 1980.
Roberto inherits his deep passion for bikes from his father, Italian winner of the Hill Climb Championship in 1980. His first experiences on the track go back to sixteen years ago, when, riding a Honda 750, he featured an amazing talent.

1996 His first official appearance was at the San Marino Grand Prix of the Road Racing World Championship, in Imola
1997 He races for the Carrizzosa team. At the end of the season, on board of a Honda, he gains an excellent 11th position and is awarded as the best Italian rider on a non-official bike
1999 He races with the Vasco Rossi Racing team's Aprilia, with which he confirms his presence among the top positions with a private bike and gains the pole position at the Valencia World Championship
2000 Roby substitutes the injured driver Hoffman, gaining an excellent 6th position in Germany, the 9th position in The Netherlands and the 10th position in Australia.
2001 This is a turning point. At the end of the championship, with a private Aprilia, he gains the 4th position and he's awarded as the best private driver of all time
2002 He joins the official Fortuna team; on board of a Honda, he ends the world championship gaining the 3rd position; being one step from the 1st victory on 5 occasions
2003 At Sachsenring and Phillip Island he gains the first world victories during a season he leads until the ultimate challenge, when a technical fault prevents him from completing the race and gaining the Title. He ends the world championship in the 2nd position
2004 After a terrific victory at the Jerez track, he has to manage several technical problems during the whole season and his bike is under-sized for his height; he ends the world championship gaining the 8th position
2005 He joins the MotoGP on board of a D’antin Pramac Team's Ducati
2006 He starts off in the SuperBike World Championship on board of a SC Caracchi private team's Ducati 999 and gains a great 5th position in Australia, the 7th position in Qatar and Monza and fights for one of the top-ten positions in several races
2007 For his second year in the SBK World Championship, he changes to a Hannspree Ten Kate Team's Honda; he moved because, during the last lap at the Monza Championship, a technical fault prevented him from gaining the 2nd position and his first time on the podium within the SuperBike world championship
2008 He's still on board a Honda owned by the Hannspree Honda Althea Team: a very skilled team that featured excellent racing results worldwide, and is making its debut in the Superbike World Championship
