Alex de Angelis

Alex de Angelis born in Rimini on the 26th February 1984. He grows up "in the middle of the engines", his father Vinicio was a rally car technician. At 7 years of age he gets his first minibike and at 16 years old arrives in the World Championship.
2000 He debuts in the 125 cc class with Honda 2001 With Mattoni team on Honda he gets 10th place in the 125 cc championship 2002 First podium in Germany with Aprilia, 9th place in the championship 2003 2nd in the 125 cc championship 2004 He debuts in the 250 cc class as the official rider of the Aprilia racing team, bringing with him Chief Technician Giovanni Sandi, the former Chief Technician to 4 times World Champion Max Biaggi; 7th in the final championship standings 2005 He rides in the MS Aprilia Italia Corse colours. 7th in the 250 cc Championship. He becomes Aprilia RSW 2006 tester 2006 He is the Aprilia Racing Team Aspar 250cc official rider, with Pietro Caparra at his side, the experienced technician that helped Casey Stoner to his success in the 2005 season. On the 29th October 2006 he wins his first race in the World Championship and finishing well in his first season in 250 cc with Aprilia 2007 He starts immediately with one podium. He collects a lot of podiums for more than half of the season, then bad luck and some problems make a dent into his performances. He finishes in 3rd place in the final 250 cc Championship standings 2008 He races in MotoGP with Gresini team
