Our rider Alvaro Bautista met the seventh race of the Championship with a strong preparation and motivation to maintain his leadership.

The entire race on the Dutch circuit was an extraordinary struggle between the big players, with a record audience of 2,127,000 people for the televised broadcasting.

At the almost-last lap, close to the race end, Aoyama misses the chicane entrance, leading to the final straight: a sensational turn-up where the Japanese slows down and Bautista cannot avoid crashing into it and falling down, unhurt.

The fight for the title reopens with the sorrow of Alvaro Bautista, who lost some points due to the unlucky accident (108 versus the 121 of Aoyama).
But the Spanish rider asserts that nothing is compromised and that the 250 cc Class will be hard-fought till the end of the season.
