The Spanish rider does not find a perfect set-up for his bike during the test race, and starts from the eighth place on the Brno track.
During the race, he drives with his obstinacy and intelligence and reaches the top ones. Bautista tries his best to catch up on the Italians ahead, but he must suddenly change his plans after a dangerous bend, five laps before the end. He ranks third and steps again on the Podium, to everybody's satisfaction. This placement awards him three points in the championship score.
